RoadPro® Pro Driver Council Members Teach at 2015 DAS Travel Center Show
Palmyra, PA (June 4, 2015) – Veteran drivers provided valuable insight into the business and lifestyle of trucking for dealers and vendors at the 2015 DAS Travel Center Show.
DAS Companies, Inc. brought dealers, vendors and professional drivers together for the annual show, which was held May 6-7, 2015 at the Lancaster County Convention Center at Penn Square. RoadPro® Pro Driver Council members Henry Albert and Tom Kyrk hosted seminars and demonstrations that resonated with the various audiences.

Henry Albert, owner of Albert Transport, Inc. in Statesville, North Carolina, has been a professional truck driver for 30 years. The “standing room only” seminar was centered on the travel center but focused on the experience through the eyes of the professional driver. Henry educated the crowd around what drivers expect from travel centers and the value they place on elements such as quality service, a refreshing environment and different entertainment options. He also discussed ongoing changes and evolving trends in both the trucking and travel center industries. It was an interactive session with extensive dialogue between the distinguished RoadPro Pro Driver Council member and the audience.
Tom Kyrk, a 10-year driver currently working for Stevens Transport in Dallas, Texas, is passionate when it comes to healthy eating and food preparation while on the road. He provided interactive cooking demonstrations to showcase how RoadPro 12-volt products can help professional drivers eat and cook healthier while away from home. Attendees were drawn to the RoadPro booth by pleasant aromas of quesadillas, chili and even omelets! Right on the show floor, they watched him prepare – and then sampled -- a variety of delicious on-the-go cooking selections. RoadPro Family of Brands cookbooks, which include many of Tom’s recipes, were displayed at the show for attendees to review.
With the help of the RoadPro Pro Driver Council members, attendees and vendors were able to get a glimpse into the “real” life of the professional driver in ways that appealed to all the senses!
