DAS Companies, Inc. Continues Commitment to Giving With Summer Stewardship Program – Operation Restoration
Palmyra, PA (June 17, 2015) – The summer of 2015 will be no different from any other at DAS Companies, Inc.; the sun shining, cows content across the way and associates preparing to roll up their sleeves and help those in need! This past week DAS associates gathered together to share a meal and celebrate the unveiling of the 2015 stewardship project.
“DAS offers its associates a family owned, faith-based culture that encourages community outreach and volunteer activities. These projects unite our DAS family and hold us accountable for one of our company promises, to serve as a steward for children and families in need”, said Mike Kleinhans, program director.
“Operation Restoration”, the 2015 DAS stewardship program, is focused on restoring hope and home right in its own backyard. DAS has purchased a home in nearby Elizabethtown, PA that will serve as transitional housing for those connected to the DAS family. Associates have been tasked with raising funds and volunteering their time and talents to restore the home. Each individual will be paid for up to eight hours of volunteer time related to the project. Upon completion, keys to the home will be turned over the Faith Homes of Donegal to become part of a network of transitional housing.
David Abel, founder and owner, opened the event with some personal reflections that directly correlated to one of the core values of DAS Companies, Inc., a stewardship heart. He reminded the group that the purpose of the company is to build productive, profitable partnerships to serve its customers, support its associates, and provide time and monetary resources to help charitable organizations. Over 30% of the company’s profits go directly to children and families in need. Stewardship is part of the DAS heritage and it is with that heartfelt commitment associates anxiously waited to hear how they can help make a difference this year as members of the DAS family.

In past years, DAS stewardship initiatives have benefited a variety of organizations including Ronald McDonald House, Aaron’s Acres, Brittany’s Hope and Haiti partners, to mention a few.
